Great news kids: Michele Bachmann isn't going to let low poll numbers and the mutiny of her own campaign staff be the boss of her. She's back on the campaign trail in New Hampshire.
Despite the make-or-break scenario that Bachmann faces in Iowa and the dwindling resources she has available to meet the steep challenge there, senior New Hampshire adviser Jeff Chidhester said that New Hampshire would remain an important piece of the overall strategy.
"She's going to come back more," he said. "She loves New Hampshire, and so we'll see a lot more activity here."
Jokes about the current state of her campaign aside, I'm not ready to dismiss Bachmann as a contender. Sarah Palin's not running creates an opening for Bachmann. What remains to be seen is if there's anyone in her inner circle smart enough to do something about it.
