The Republican primary has been defined by John Woo and Michael Bay imitation vides that seek to wow their audiences with the truly epic nature of their subject. This is not one of those videos. Instead, this looks like it was produced on some open-source freeware with graphics produced by Microsoft Paint.
For what it's worth, I think there's a spectrum in campaign video production. On the high end, we have Tim Pawlenty, who was so over the top that it was clear video editing was the only good thing his campaign was ever going to do. On the low end, we have Mike Gravel's single shot performance art. This Perry video is too close to the Gravel end of the scale for public consumption.
Also, stopping people from getting killed by pollution is, you know, a good thing.
