This morning Mitt Romney went on Fox news for a friendly question and answer session on Fox and Friends. Romney's still incoherent on Iraq and Afghanistan and the press corps hasn't tried at this point to pin Romney's position down.
Fox News Anchor: How would Mitt Romney handle the situation if he were president? Let’s ask him. Former governor of Massachusetts and republican presidential candidate joins us again. So governor, if Mitt Romney were president today what, would you do about Iraq? ROMNEY: well, first of all if I were president, I would have carried out the status of forces agreement that was long anticipated that actually secretary Panetta, president Obama, secretary of defense indicated he wanted to have as well, which would have allowed to us have somewhere between 10 and 30,000 troops in Iraq, which would –There you have it, in Romney's own words. 10,000 to 30,000 inside Iraq, in harms way indefinitely. Romney doesn't address the fact that Iraqi government for it's own stability wanted American troops out of Iraq or that US troops would have no immunity from Iraq's law. As the rest of the country celebrates the end of the Iraq war Mitt Romney's big foreign policy thought is that there should be 30,000 more American troops in harms way inside Iraq. Keep them there 100 years Mitt?
