Will the debate be occupied?

Retweet | Reddit | Facebook | Tumblr

Some of the candidates have been mum on #occupywallst, a la Mr. Perry. Some of the candidates, such as Mr. Cain, have lost their minds when it comes to the occupation. And some of them pivot, pivot, pivot. When was the last time you heard an occupier decry the evils of Dodd-Frank?

Here's some of the memorable quotes thus far from our Republican band of merry-makers. I can only hope that #OWS is brought up tonight.

Mitt Romney on #OWS:
“I worry about the 99 percent in America," he said, before adding later in the day: "I understand how those people feel."

“I think it’s dangerous, this class warfare,”

Feel the flip flopping!

Gringrich on #OWS:
“class warfare”

When asked whether he identifies with the protesters railing against the big banks, Gingrich reiterated that he is “angry about the Dodd-Frank bill” and insisted that protesters have the right to be “very very angry” about it.

Must have missed all the angry anti-Dodd-Frank signs on Wall Street this weekend.

Cain on #OWS:
"I don't have facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration."

and

"Don't blame Wall Street, don't blame the big banks," he continued. "If you don't have a job and you are not rich, blame yourself!"

and of course:

"Don’t blame Wall Street. Don’t blame the big banks. If you don’t have a job, and you’re not rich, blame yourself!"
