Welcome to Bizarro World: October 18, 2011. Today, unlike most other days, we have a positive offering from the Perry campaign and an attack video/site from the Romney campaign, aimed not at President Obama, but Rick Perry.
Here's the Perry ad:
And here's the video from the Romney campaign's new attack site, CareerPolitician.com:
The ad attempts to tie Perry to President Obama because both of them have held public office over the last three years in a time of economic crisis and high joblessness. Romney is immune from this criticism because, after all, he's, ahem, been unemployed.
What's bizarre about the Romney campaign's site and video is that Perry's bubble popped and he's fading fast - down to fourth place in recent national polls. The existence of this site suggest Romney's campaign is epically slow in launching attacks against opponents or that they have internal polling which shows Perry to still be a major threat to Romney's chances at the nomination.
