The optics on this are just terrible. Mitt Romney, who considers himself to be one of America's millions of unemployed people, is taking his 3,000 square foot mansion in La Jolla, California, tearing it down, and rebuilding it to 11,000 square feet. The mansion has an ocean view and already cost $12 million. But don't worry, "Tentative plans call for new retaining walls and a relocated driveway, but would retain the existing lap pool and spa." Thank goodness Mitt is keeping the lap pool and spa!
