The Hill's Michael O'Brien reports that Michele Bachmann "has missed nearly 40 percent of votes in the House since she formally launched her presidential campaign." Apparently Bachmann doesn't want to talk about what this means and whether she was really elected to Congress to run for president.
Asked earlier this month whether she would forfeit some of her congressional salary, Bachmann replied, “No comment.”I'm sure someone will pick up on this, especially as long as Bachmann stays near the front of the pack. There are important votes coming up on the debt ceiling and deficit deals and Bachmann will likely pay a hefty price if she misses them (she did vote last week for the House GOP
When pressed, Bachmann said, “I’m not doing an interview with you now.”
