Santorum slides into presidential race

I tried to find Rick Santorum's campaign website, but it's nowhere to be seen on the first page of search results for "Santorum". More confusingly, his campaign has not bought Google Ads pointing people towards his real campaign website under his last name and the neologism that makes his SEO worthless.

I really don't know what to make of Santorum's candidacy. Yeah he will likely have some base of support with religious conservatives. But he's been out of work for five years and other than being a bit of a rhetorical firebrand, I don't know what space he really occupies in the field that has a pathway to winning the nomination.

Santorum's rollout has already included him diving in head-first with the defeated Bush-era idea of privatizing Social Security. He's also dramatically misrepresented Paul Ryan's plan to destroy Medicare, saying it's the same thing as Medicare Part D (it's not). doesn't go far enough. For old times' sake, Igor Volsky has compiled the twelve most offensive things Santorum has ever said. It's a good reminder of how awful this guy really is.
